Steven Craven having a lesson with Maurice Murphy (Principal trumpet London Symphony Orchestra 1975- 2005).
In 2007 in an attempt to re incoporate the musical activities in the musical culture of the Andaluzian village of Marchena near the city of Sevilla, Spain. Steven Craven and Jerome Thiebout(Organist) have put together the idea of a CD to celibrate the 172 year anniversary of the construction of the organ for the San Sebastian church of Marchena. Built in 1835 it is one of the oldest and best preserved organs of its kind as its estetic conception corresponds without doubt to the more genuine Spanish tradition in the construction of Organs of the neoclassic period.
The CD is a collection of well known themes, arias and includes Origional Voluntaries for Organ and trumpet. The CD shows the people of Marchena just what can be possible when these two elements are brought together.
